Floor Guardians
The Floor Guardians are an elite group of NPCs who serve as the bosses for specific floors within the Great Tomb of Nazarick. Originally programmed with unique personalities by the creators of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown, they gained sentience when the tomb was transported to the New World alongside their master, Momonga, now known as Ainz Ooal Gown. While Ainz inadvertently set them on a path of world domination through misinterpreted comments, he eventually accepted his role as their leader. These guardians are among the most powerful beings in Nazarick, with some possessing stats that even exceed those of Ainz himself. They view humans as lower lifeforms and operate under the belief that they must protect the tomb and fulfill what they perceive as their master's grand designs.

Lore & Background
In the New World, the Floor Guardians act with a fierce loyalty born from their programmed backstories. Albedo, the overseer, was modified by Ainz just before the game's shutdown to be in love with him, a joke that became her reality; she now despises humans and harbors hatred for those who left Ainz. Shalltear Bloodfallen, often at odds with Albedo due to her own infatuation with Ainz, is the most powerful Guardian in overall stats, specializing in both melee and magic combat until she was brainwashed by the Slane Theocracy. After being killed and resurrected by Ainz, she remains insecure and self-blaming. The twins Aura Bella Fiora and Mare Bello Fiore, guardians of the Sixth Floor, are treated by Ainz as his children; while bickering constantly, they share a close bond with their master. Demiurge, the intelligent and evil Guardian of the Seventh Floor, believes he is executing Ainz's hidden schemes, leading armies as the demon emperor Jaldabaoth without raising suspicion.
In Their Own Story
The dynamic within Nazarick shifted dramatically after the transport to the New World. The NPCs began formulating their own plans based on the assumption that Ainz was orchestrating world domination. Albedo, wearing her armor called Hermes Trismegistus and wielding a bardiche named 3F, oversees the Guardians while possessing the World Item Ginnungagap to devastate large areas. Cocytus, the four-armed insectoid Guardian of the Fifth Floor, respects fighting spirit and has taken charge of the Lizardmen tribes after Ainz's victory over them. Victim, the humble guardian of the Eighth Floor, exists solely as a self-destruct mechanism to serve as Nazarick's last line of defense. Gargantua, a stone golem and in-game bonus rather than a custom NPC, stands as the strongest Guardian by raw strength but lacks free will. Together, they transformed from game bosses into the ruling council of the Sorcerer Kingdom, interpreting Ainz's silence as strategic genius.
Reader's Guide
The Floor Guardians serve distinct roles based on their programming and areas of expertise. Albedo acts as the overseer and handles diplomacy, while Demiurge manages defense and complex strategies under his alias Jaldabaoth. For direct combat, Shalltear Bloodfallen dominates with her vampire abilities and dual specialization in melee and magic. Cocytus provides cryokinetic power and leadership over conquered tribes like the Lizardmen. Victim offers a suicidal last resort with its Enochian-speaking self-destruct skill. Gargantua serves as an immovable force of nature on the Fourth Floor, though it cannot react independently. Sebas Tian, while technically part of the Pleiades maids rather than a Floor Guardian, is often grouped in discussions of Nazarick's top-tier enforcers.
