In Their Own Story

In the minutes before the shutdown time of YGGDRASIL, Momonga invited remaining guild members to The Great Tomb of Nazarick. Only one appeared briefly before leaving, leaving him saddened but accepting his friends' other lives. When the shut-down time arrived, the game did not vanish; instead, Nazarick transported to another world with NPCs becoming actual living beings. Trapped in his avatar form, Momonga set out to learn if any players like himself were in this new world. Taking on the name of the guild, Ainz Ooal Gown, as a message to other remaining players, he began exploring while ensuring Nazarick's safety. The air hummed with pressure from an enemy who viewed life merely as data points to be optimized, marking the start of a saga where an undead emperor sought a home for his guildmates in a land of fragile human hierarchies.
